Corn bread and Chili go together like Peanut Butter and Jelly. Corn bread is a great side to a fall/winter meal.
Homemade Whole Wheat Corn Bread
1/2 cup Whole Wheat flour
3/4 cup Flour
1/2 cup corn meal
2/3 cup splenda or stevia
1 Tbsp. Baking powder
1 1/4 cup fat free milk
2 eggs, beaten or 1/2 cup egg whites or 4 egg whites
1/3 cup applesauce
3 Tbsp. Trans fat free margarine, melted
Preheat oven to 350. Spray 8×8 pan or 12 muffin tins with nonstick spray.
Combine Flour, sugar substitute, corn meal, baking powder, salt, in medium bowl.
Combine milk, eggs, applesauce, and butter in a small bowl, mix well. Add to flour mixture, stir until blended. Pour into pre sprayed pan or muffin tin.
Bake 15-20 minutes. Cool and serve warm.
