Meal planning is so important. You should sit down as a family and plan your meals out for the week. I love to batch cook. Basically, I choose two days per week and cook a number of foods and prep foods. Some of my favorites include: brown rice, quinoa, roasted sweet potatoes, grilled, roasted and steamed vegetables, vegetarian burgers (or you can grill chicken), grilled fish, egg bakes and much more.
Batch cooking makes meals easier when I get home from work and everyone is hungry. You pull out what is in the fridge and quickly decide what options will work best for everyone.
Prepare foods that are in season. Choose in season vegetables and fruits. Plan your meals around what is on sale at the market.
